Assessment
The school undertakes a regular series of internal and external testing in order to ensure that your child is making progress and identify any gaps in learning.
All Reception children will undergo the National Baseline Assessment at the start of their Reception year.
In the summer term of Year 1 children will complete a Phonic Screening Check (PSC) provided by the government.
In the summer term of Year 4 children will will complete a Multiplication Times Table Check (MTC) provided by the government.
At the end of Key Stage 1 & 2, the children will be assessed using nationally administered tests. Key Stage 1 SATs at the end of Year 2 (non-statutory) and Key Stage 2 SATs in Year 6 are given during the month of May. All test results are given to parents towards the end of the year.

At Hardwicke we report on attainment and progress throughout the year at 3 face to face parents evenings and an end of year report in the summer term.
